CEMEX Ventures ogłasza konkurs dla start-upów budowlanych

• Entrepreneurs and start-ups who want to introduce innovations in the construction sector will face the challenge.

CEMEX Ventures announced a competition for construction start-ups. The aim of the initiative is to find companies that want to lead the transformation in the construction industry.

Under the slogan "Lead the disruption, join us", CEMEX Ventures - the venture capital and open innovation unit of CEMEX - announced the second open call for applications, which will last until June 3 this year. The competition covers four areas: urban development, improving the connectivity of entities in the construction value chain, acquiring new sources of project financing and new construction technologies.

Those interested in participating can apply via the CEMEX Ventures website: www.cemexventures.com . Once all entries have been assessed, the finalists will be invited to Madrid on July 12 to present their solutions to a jury of experts.

The start-up with the best result will receive EUR 3,000 to finance its project. All finalists will also have access to CEMEX Ventures' professional network, participation in project acceleration or incubation programs, and may obtain mentoring support and financing.

The winner of the inaugural CEMEX Ventures competition in 2017 was IPSUM - a cooperation platform based on the Lean-BIM methodology, facilitating the coordination and management of construction projects. Following IPSUM's victory, CEMEX Ventures provided advisory support to the platform, including areas of international expansion and business model optimization. IPSUM recently completed its second round of fundraising, and CEMEX Ventures was one of the investors.
